Investing in the Future of St. Theresa
Printed report, page 2This year, St. Theresa grew in every part of parish life from worship and formation to education and service, rooted in our tradition of excellence in liturgy and sacred music.
None of this happens without you. Offertory giving reached a record $2.8 million, up over 14% from 2025; another all-time high. Thank you. Your generosity helps us create a welcoming campus for our parishioners, school families, new families, and visitors to enjoy. Together, we are building the future of St. Theresa, one family, one student, and one act of worship at a time.

Evangelization and Catechesis
Printed report, page 3This past year at St. Theresa, we have been blessed to build upon an amazing foundation of evangelization and catechesis. Since this time last year, we have a brand-new team in our evangelization and catechesis department. Their mission remains the same, sharing the Gospel of Jesus.
We had an amazing year in OCIA, welcoming 35 men and women into full communion with the Church through the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. With that, we have also launched our new OCIA format, which is the first of its kind in our diocese. Our new approach gives people the chance to enter formation no matter what time of year the Lord prompts them to have a conversation, as well as the opportunity for them to be discipled on a one-on-one basis by our amazing team of discipleship volunteers.
Youth ministry has had a tremendous relaunch with the new Saturday night youth group. In the coming year, we are excited to launch various new initiatives, such as our Sports and Summit nights, which are going to help foster community amongst our parents and youth. In the parish, we are also excited to begin new marriage and relationship ministries that will be focused on practical ways to improve relationships, communication, and authentic love between spouses, knowing that stronger marriages make stronger families.

Music Ministry Highlights
Printed report, page 6The heart of St. Theresa's music ministry is the weekend Mass, and this year it grew at every level. Three ensembles lead the 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday Masses, and each rehearses two hours every Wednesday evening. All three adult choirs added members, welcoming ten new singers for a combined membership of 81, and the Handbell Choir added three ringers for the major liturgical seasons.
The Advent Festival of Lights brought Music Ministry, Family Life, and Catechesis together to light the campus for Christmas. Every choir sang at Christmas, joined by a chamber orchestra, and again at Easter with full brass and timpani. For the third consecutive year, a choir of ten men sang a chanted Tenebrae service during Holy Week; with attendance growing significantly.
The Sacred Music Concert Series completed its third season on campus with eight concerts featuring guest organists from across the country alongside vocalists and pianists. The Masterworks Singers, our resident community chorus, performed by invitation at a special Mass and concert in Fredericksburg and presented the Texas premiere of Aeterna Via by acclaimed composer Elaine Hagenberg. In June, the choir traveled to France, where it sang in the work's international premiere in Paris, at the Basilica of St. Thérèse in Lisieux, home of our parish patroness, and at the Normandy American Cemetery.
Some of the year's most significant progress came from our youngest musicians. The School Chorister Choir, a partnership with our school's music program, reached 38 members, and the Parish Children's Choir grew from 10 to 13. The Diocese's Catechetical Choir initiative, funded by a $1.25 million Lilly Endowment grant, selected St. Theresa's children's music program as its model for other parishes. Our music leaders now lead workshops for directors across the Diocese, and our program receives a three-year sub-grant. The Children's Choir Summer Camp also returned, and our children now sing with the adult choirs at Sunday Mass once a month, a sign that the next generation is already finding its voice.
